So over the last few months I've been playing in
Julian Cope's "heathen resistance" ensemble, BLACK SHEEP. Several sessions at
State of Art Studios in Bristol have brought forth a double LP and double CD entitled KISS MY SWEET APOCALYPSE. We currently expect these to be on general release in May/June 2009 via
Invada Records.
I'm also operating in a Black Sheep offshoot group - Black Sheep Electronic Division - that's me and Fat Paul with some exsoteric [sic] guest vocalists declaiming wisdom over rudimentary electronic backdrops. We've got a 10" in the works that should be out mid to late Summer.
Black Sheep recently completed a session for BBC 6 Music's Freak Zone, 2 tracks from which are available to hear for a limited time on the
BBC iPlayer.
Still working on Collecting Earthquakes II in any spare moments and inching forward on some Slomo merchandise - which we're aiming to get on sale before we regroup to consider a 3rd album.

We now have copies of Slomo's THE BOG for sale in the
STORE.

Wotcha,
RAW POWER SUITE wins the accolade of being
Head Heritage Album of the Month for November 2008.
Slomo's almost mythical THE BOG album is currently making something of a perambulation around various customs stops of the world, and should be with us at some point this week. It will be available immediately but I'm loathe to take orders until we actually have physical product in hand.

Ello,
Out this week is
Padma's "Song For An Entryphone EP". All three tracks were recorded on my watch and I'm happy that we got to push the boat out a little on "Waiting For Dolma", here included in sumptuously extended, remixed form. Also, my missus sings the hopscotch vocal on Padma's ragged back-porch style cover of Malvina Reynolds' "Little Boxes".
It's a digital EP currently only available through the
Just Music Digital Store, though it should also be available on iTunes et al within the coming weeks.
Both Slomo and Tomb Zero have been delayed a little, though I'm still hoping for an October release for both.
And COLLECTING EARTHQUAKES II is coming along nicely.
